The Jewish Book Council is the literary arm of the organized American Jewish community, and as such it plays a role in the many national conferences convened on an annual or biennial basis. These events gather people from across the country, and the world-wide Jewish community,

The conferences bring people of like concerns together to learn from each other and from the experts in their respective fields. It also provides an opportunity to see the latest materials in the Jewish world. Foremost among them is books of Jewish interest. The Jewish Book Council arranges book sales and author appearances at major conferences providing the participants the opportunity to see the plethora of titles available all in one display.
