Jules Feif­fer was a car­toon­ist, play­wright, screen­writer, chil­dren’s book author and illus­tra­tor, and mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Acad­e­my of Arts and Let­ters. He taught a humor-writ­ing class at Stony Brook Southamp­ton Col­lege and lived in East Hamp­ton, New York.
