The Frag­ile Dia­logue: New Voic­es of Lib­er­al Zionism

This col­lec­tion includes 20 essays by thought lead­ers on crit­i­cal top­ics in mod­ern Zion­ism, such as the rela­tion­ship between Zion­ism and lib­er­al democ­ra­cy, Israel on col­lege cam­pus­es, and Zion­ism and social jus­tice. The essays demon­strate the diver­si­ty of mod­ern Lib­er­al Zion­ist thought, vary­ing wide­ly along polit­i­cal, geo­graph­ic, reli­gious, socio-eco­nom­ic, and gen­der lines, and at times offer­ing diver­gent views.

The Frag­ile Dia­logue includes per­spec­tives from both Amer­i­can Reform rab­bis and lead­ers of the Israel Move­ment for Pro­gres­sive Judaism, promi­nent Zion­ist lead­ers such as Rab­bi Josh Wein­berg, Pres­i­dent of the Asso­ci­a­tion of Reform Zion­ists of Amer­i­ca, Rab­bi Noa Sat­tath, Direc­tor of the Israel Reli­gious Action Cen­ter, Josh Block, CEO and Pres­i­dent of the Israel Project, and Alon Tal, chair of the Depart­ment of Pub­lic Pol­i­cy at Tel Aviv University.
