Joe Klein is an award-winning journalist and the author of six books, including the bestseller Primary Colors. His weekly Time column covers U.S. politics, elections, and foreign policy, and has won two National Headliner Awards for best magazine column. Previously, he served as Washington correspondent for The New Yorker and as a political reporter for Newsweek. Klein graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in American Civilization. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former Guggenheim fellow.
