With a PhD from Columbia University, Edith Rogovin Frankel taught for many years at the Hebrew University, specifically in the field of Russian Jewry and the Soviet Union. An experienced public speaker, she has also taught at Dartmouth, Stanford, Columbia, University College London, among others. She received grants from the American Council of Learned Societies, the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture and the Israel Academy of Sciences for work on Old Lives and New.
