Born in Brooklyn, Henry Saltzman earned an M.S. in Education from Brooklyn College, taught in various junior and senior high schools and a number of yeshivas. Henry has served as the program officer at the Ford Foundation, education advisor to Mayor Lindsay, director of the Bernard Van Leer Foundation, The Hague, president of Pratt Institute, and director of Citizen’s Committee for Children.
