Joanne Lipman is one of the nation’s most prominent journalists and commentators. She was founding Editor-in-Chief of Conde Nast Portfolio magazine, which won National Magazine and Loeb awards and spawned Michael Lewis’s bestseller The Big Short, based on his cover story about the financial crisis.Previously, Ms. Lipman was a Deputy Managing Editor of The Wall Street Journal, the first woman to attain that post. While at the Journal, Ms. Lipman supervised coverage that won three Pulitzer Prizes.
