Michael Marissen, a graduate of Calvin College and Brandeis University, is the Daniel Underhill Professor of Music at Swarthmore College. He has published articles on anti-Judaism and music in the Harvard Theological Review and The New York Times. His books include Lutheranism, anti-Judaism and Bach’s St. John Passion. He is a popular pre-concert lecturer.
