Susan Dworkin wrote The Nazi Officer’s Wife with the late Edith Hahn Beer. Oth­er books include Mak­ing Toot­sie, The Viking in the Wheat Field, Miss Amer­i­ca, 1945, Stolen Goods, and The Com­mons. She was a long time con­tribut­ing edi­tor to Ms. Mag­a­zine. Her plays are often per­formed in region­al the­aters. She lives in the Berk­shires of Massachusetts.
