Avraham Burg is a veteran senior member of the Israeli Labor Party. A Member of Knesset from 1988 – 1995, he has an impressive legislative record. He then became Executive Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel. He returned to the Knesset in 1999 as Speaker.
He is an advocate for spiritual pluralism and religious equality in the Israeli society and separation of politics and religion in Israel.
Avraham was born and raised in Jerusalem. He lives with his family in Nataf.
