William C. Sefekar investigated, documented, and co-wrote his first book with Holocaust survivor, Cantor W. Hauben, title “entitled Light: Courage and Hope,”, which was about the 10 righteous nations that whose brave citizens stood up against the brutality of the Holocaust and helped save Jews and others during the Holocaust. that otherwise dark period of world history. A reception honoring those righteous countries was held at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. in January 2010.
A zealous student of history, Mr. Sefekar spent over 10 years, from 1997 to 2008, in collaboration with his father Joseph reviewing his writings, philosophizing and saving memorabilia of his life which spanned almost a century. The last three years have been spent doing research and preparing the manuscript for publication.

Mr. Sefekar was Producer and Director of the Public Access TV Show, “B’nai B’rith Presents Jewish Life in Tampa Bay.” The program received numerous awards during the 170 shows that aired from 1994 to 2007. He has resided in the Tampa Bay area for many years.
