Rewriting the myth of the muse in a manner placing it firmly in Jewish tradition and the Torah, Dark Muse is the fantastical story of Vi Gold and Lee Marvin, two women who have the unique ability to either inspire the gifted, creative few or drive them to suicide. Vi hates her role and would do anything to live a normal life; Lee is casual about her fate and about violence. As an uneasy friendship develops between the two, their dual paths are crossed by would-be lovers and a rabbi who becomes involved in their destinies — to his own demise.
