First the book teaches why diets don’t work and then teaches you how to use the “Green” Technique and The “Red” Technique. So The “Green” Technique lets you have the food that you want but before you can eat it you have to ask yourself “How much is enough?” and “How much is too much?” Then once you’ve decided on those two amounts you have to set aside the amount that you decided was “too” much and then you can eat the amount that you decided was enough. This will let you know that you have eaten and stopped yourself. Now the “Red” Technique works in a similar but somewhat different way to also let you know that you have eaten and stopped yourself.
