Illustrated handsomely with large, slightly stylized color artwork, this is a picture book version of the Jewish folktale known as “Challahs In the Ark.” A rich man and a poor man are opposites in their needs and motivations — one bakes and places challahs in the Holy Ark and the other takes them to feed his family — but they become united in the realization that God works miracles through human hands. For ages 7 – 9.
