Thank you, Hashem, for…” Thus opens each page of this short book. One side of each spread con­tains the text and an illus­tra­tion of a fam­i­ly mem­ber with a kipah and tzitz­it or a long dress eat­ing, pray­ing, or play­ing. On the oppo­site page young­sters are encour­aged to draw a par­al­lel pic­ture with­in a col­or­ful frame of things they are thank­ful for in their own lives. This is an inter­ac­tive way to teach chil­dren the qual­i­ty of grat­i­tude. Rec­om­mend­ed for ages 4 – 7

Dro­ra Arussy, Ed.D., is an edu­ca­tion­al con­sul­tant who spe­cial­izes in inte­grat­ing Jew­ish and sec­u­lar stud­ies, the arts into edu­ca­tion, and cre­ative teach­ing for excel­lence in Jew­ish edu­ca­tion. She is the moth­er to four school-age chil­dren and has taught from pre-school through adult. Dro­ra is an adjunct pro­fes­sor of Hebrew lan­guage at Drew University.
