Claude Riedel is inspired by the evoca­tive ener­gy of the Ner Tamid. He weaves ancient tra­di­tion­al forms into deeply per­son­al mod­ern cre­ations. Over the past 30 years he has cre­at­ed 175 Ner Tamids for syn­a­gogues around the world. While Claude’s eter­nal lights are visu­al­ly stun­ning he val­ues teach­ing about Juda­ic art his­to­ry inte­grat­ing ref­er­ences to the burn­ing bush, wings of angels, sev­en species and the Zohar. He has viewed his life jour­ney mak­ing Ner Tamids as a metaphor for the eter­nal jour­ney we are all on. When we lis­ten to our inner deep­est voic­es the sparks come togeth­er into some­thing holy.
