Claude Riedel is inspired by the evocative energy of the Ner Tamid. He weaves ancient traditional forms into deeply personal modern creations. Over the past 30 years he has created 175 Ner Tamids for synagogues around the world. While Claude’s eternal lights are visually stunning he values teaching about Judaic art history integrating references to the burning bush, wings of angels, seven species and the Zohar. He has viewed his life journey making Ner Tamids as a metaphor for the eternal journey we are all on. When we listen to our inner deepest voices the sparks come together into something holy.
