David R. Forman was an artist and then a psychology researcher and teacher, before returning to his early love of writing. His poetry has been published online and in literary journals. The grandson of Solomon Simon, Forman finally learned Yiddish starting in his fifties. He lives in Ithaca, NY, teaches at Cornell, and catalogs manuscripts for Cornell University Library.
