David Sher­rin is a nation­al award-win­ning teacher at Scars­dale High School in Scars­dale, New York. This is his debut pic­ture book. His sec­ond book, The Pirate Rab­bi, will be pub­lished in Spring 2024. He is also the author of sev­er­al books about teach­ing his­to­ry, includ­ing The Class­es They Remem­ber: Using Role-Plays to Bring Social Stud­ies and Eng­lish to Life. David lives in Tar­ry­town, New York.
