Ellen Fischer was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated Washington University with a BS in Speech and Hearing and a K‑12 Teaching Degree. Her teaching career included working with special need children and ESL teaching at the local Jewish Day School. When Ellen’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with family. She lives in Greensboro, N.C.
