Joyce G. Schwartz, M.D., obtained her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She received numerous awards and honors during her career, including the prestigious Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation’s Piper Professor Award for excellence in teaching, and election to the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame. She is currently working as a pathologist in San Antonio.
