Julie Chib­baro is the author of Dead­ly (Atheneum/​Simon & Schus­ter 2011) a nov­el about the hunt for Typhoid Mary. Dead­ly won the 2011 Nation­al Jew­ish Book Award. Her first book, Redemp­tion (Atheneum/​Simon & Schus­ter, 2004), an epic tale of love, kid­nap­ping, and white Indi­ans won the Amer­i­can Book Award. Julie Chibbaro’s sto­ries have appeared in the anthol­o­gy Return of the Kral Majales, and in The Prague Revue, Sling­shot, and Cat­a­lyst, and her arti­cles in The Pough­keep­sie Jour­nal, The Mon­tre­al Gazette and The Prague Post. She teach­es cre­ative writ­ing in New York.
