Michelle Friedman is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private practice, the chair of Pastoral Counseling at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School (YCT), and Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Friedman has been involved in bridging religious life and mental health issues for over 30 years, spearheading educational initiatives on a variety of topics including religious identity, postpartum depression, and sexuality. Rachel Yehuda, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of the Mental Health Patient Care Center at the James J. Peters Bronx Veterans Affairs hospital, both in New York City. Her work on treatment and detection for PTSD, with a recent focus on the effects of trauma on Holocaust survivors and their adult offspring, have earned Dr. Yehuda numerous federal research grants and achievement awards as well as honorary professorships from both the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich and Leiden University.
