Miles Cor­win, a for­mer reporter for the Los Ange­les Times, is the author of three non­fic­tion books: The Killing Sea­son, a nation­al best­seller, And Still We Rise, win­ner of the PENN West award for non­fic­tion, and Homi­cide Spe­cial, a Los Ange­les Times best­seller. His first nov­el, Kind of Blue, was select­ed by Book­list in 2011 as one of the Top 10 first crime nov­els. His sec­ond nov­el, Mid­night Alley was pub­lished in April 2012.
