Patrick Hicks is the author of sev­er­al poet­ry col­lec­tions, most recent­ly Find­ing the Gos­samer and This Lon­don. His work has appeared in many lit­er­ary jour­nals, includ­ing Ploughshares, Glim­mer Train, and The Mis­souri Review. He has won the Glim­mer Train Fic­tion Award. After liv­ing in Europe for many years, he now lives in SD and is the Writer-in-Res­i­dence at Augus­tana Col­lege. He I con­duct­ed three sep­a­rate research trips to Poland, which includ­ed exten­sive time in Krakow, Lublin, and War­saw, on a grant fund­ed toward his research for .
