Rena Blu­men­thal is a free­lance rab­bi and first time author. From 2003 – 2014, she worked at Vas­sar Col­lege as Assis­tant Direc­tor of Reli­gious & Spir­i­tu­al Life and Advis­er to Jew­ish Stu­dents. She is a 2003 grad­u­ate of the Recon­struc­tion­ist Rab­bini­cal Col­lege. Pri­or to rab­bini­cal school, Rena worked as a psy­chol­o­gist for fif­teen years in New York City and Jerusalem.
