Robert Wintner’s novels and short fiction are literary with a twist, entertaining, ironic and insightful. His short fiction has appeared in Hawaii Review and Sports Illustrated. His historical novel, In a Sweet Magnolia Time, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and a PEN/Faulkner. Reef photography completes the opus with five volumes on reef culture and characters of Palau, Hawaii, the Great Reef, and more with an incisive narrative on reef politics and victories. Robert Wintner is also an Executive Producer of The Dark Hobby, a feature film from Paradise Filmwork. Wintner lives on Maui with his wife Anita and his many animals.
