Dr. Sarah Friedman earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024. Her dissertation examined representations of masculinity in medieval literary and medical texts. Her scholarship has appeared in Essays in Medieval Studies, Peregrinations, Medieval Feminist Forum, and The Cambridge University Library Special CollectionsBlog. She also recently published a review of the artist Liz Scheer’s solo show “Nocturama” at Galerie Shibumi for Two Coats of Paint, a blogazine that covers painting in NYC. Currently based in New York City, Sarah works full-time as a college admissions consultant. She holds a B.A. in English from Barnard College, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2015. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys participating in Jewish learning opportunities, seeing dance performances, and trying new restaurants.
