Seth B. Gold­smith, pro­fes­sor emer­i­tus at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mass­a­chu­setts was pre­vi­ous­ly a full-time fac­ul­ty mem­ber at Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty and Tulane Uni­ver­si­ty. He holds a doc­tor­al degree from Johns Hop­kins Uni­ver­si­ty and is an attor­ney. For­mer­ly the CEO of the Mia­mi Jew­ish Home and Hos­pi­tal he has authored or edit­ed twen­ty books, three of which won nation­al awards.
