What happens when you’ve pushed yourself to the back burner for so long you don’t know who you are or what you want? Join author Susan Campbell Cross as she tackles that very question – and shares some pretty insightful answers – in The FabYOUList: List It, Live It, Love Your Life. Cross’s midlife declaration of, “There are so many things I thought I would have done by now!” led this suburban soccer mom to reflect on what exactly those things were. So, pen and paper in hand, she composed a “wish I had done” list that included flying on the trapeze, skinny dipping, learning to surf, going church shopping, taking guitar lessons, running a 5K, and becoming Googleable. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. The list ended with number 40, “write a book.” That book is The FabYOUList! It’s the heartfelt and inspiring story of how Cross came up with numbers one through 39, and the often hilarious way she went about crossing them off. The reader is invited along on every escapade as Cross ventures outside her comfort zone and into the adventure of her life, ultimately coming face-to-face with what she discovers has been her biggest obstacle all along — herself.
