Genie Mil­grom was born Catholic and after her con­ver­sion to Judaism, she learned the fam­i­ly had Cryp­to-Jew­ish roots. Doc­u­ment­ing a lin­eage span­ning 22 gen­er­a­tions in the Inqui­si­tion Archives led to a State of Flori­da Achieve­ment award in Geneal­o­gy. She is Pres­i­dent of the Jew­ish Genealog­i­cal Soci­ety of Greater Mia­mi, and the Inter­na­tion­al Cor­re­spon­dent for the Soci­ety of Cryp­to Juda­ic Studies.
