Liza Libes found­ed her lit­er­ary project, Pens and Poi­son, in New York City. Her writ­ing, which fre­quent­ly address­es themes of Judaism and female iden­ti­ty, has appeared in Gone Lawn, Wil­lows Wept Review, Jew­ish Women of Words and else­where.
