Orly Lobel is the Weck­stein Pro­fes­sor at Uni­ver­si­ty of San Diego and author of numer­ous arti­cles and books, includ­ing award-win­ning Tal­ent Wants to Be Free(Yale Press). She holds a law degree from Tel-Aviv and doc­tor­ate from Har­vard, clerked on the Israeli Supreme Court and lec­tures in the world’s most esteemed insti­tutes, includ­ing Yale, Cor­nell, Toron­to, NYU, Colum­bia, Sor­bonne, Tokyo, Seoul, Syd­ney, Oxford. She was recent­ly named by Mark­er Mag­a­zine one of Israel’s Top Minds. She lives in Cal­i­for­nia with her daugh­ters and IDF F‑16 pilot/​behavioral econ­o­mist husband.
